EIC award winners . . .
If you won a prize in the FOWA "Best of" Excellence in Craft Awards,
OR if you had an especially fine encounter with one of our corporate sponsors,
OR a specific person at the conference did a good job,
OR if you think any of the local Conference and Visitor bureaus did an outstanding job,
SHOW YOUR APPRECIATION!
There are several ways to do this . . .
1. Write an article about their product. Highlight that new jig/light/group/destination in your work. Be sure to send them a copy when comes out.
2. Write a "bread and butter" thank you note. This can be on your letterhead paper via snail-mail, or even via e-mail. If you can't think of what to say, here are samples to start you off:
Dear ........, I was honored to win first/second/third prize in the recent Excellence in Craft Awards at last week's Florida Outdoor Writers Association conference. Thanks for being the sponsor of this category, and thanks for all the help and encouragement you have given our entire organization. Sincerely,
Dear ......, You did a great job at last week's FOWA conference. Thanks for sharing your enthusiasm and expertise with me. You made my visit special. I especially liked ...................................... Sincerely,
